06 - 09 - 2010 Police charge a Hustontown man with homicide of local resident
Police say 41-y/o Gerald Buterbaugh has been charged with the death of the man found severely injured last week in the parking lot of a Metal Township bar. They allege that Buterbaugh intentionally ran over 32-y/o Dale Steven Henry of East Waterford, after a fight involving several people. Police say that after a heated argument in the Hillside Tavern parking lot, Buterbaugh intentionally hit Henry with his Ford F-150 pickup truck & drove away from the scene. Henry was found severely injured & unresponsive about 2:30am May 31 in front of the tavern along Fannettsburg Road West. Henry was flown to Altoona Regional Trauma Center where he was later pronounced dead. Buterbaugh turned himself in at District Judge Gary Carter's office in Chambersburg early yesterday afternoon where he was charged with criminal homicide & is being held at Franklin Co. Jail without bail.
