06 - 11 - 2010 PennDOT reports $13,000 in tools stolen from job site
Mifflin Co. Regional Police say unknown actors used a bolt cutter to break into a storage container used by PennDOT at a job site located at the Naginey & Honey Creek Road intersection. The theft took place in the early morning hours yesterday when subjects tried to remove the container’s trailer door hinges but then used the bolt cutter to cut the padlock on the door to gain access. Most of the tools were engraved with numbers for PennDOT & include a $1,500 Honda generator, several saws, & drills. If any tools are located, they should be reported to Ofc. Brehman or Det. Aurand at MCRP by calling 248-1900.
