| State Police say the woman died after the 1-vehicle crash just after 1:30am yesterday morning that happened as her dark blue sedan was southbound on Rt. 235 from the McAlisterville area. As she approached the intersection of Rt. 2013 & 235, she traveled through the intersection without stopping & hit a rock embankment head-on. Emergency crews had to extricate the driver from her vehicle by mechanical means where the Juniata Co. Coroner pronounced her dead at the scene. She was wearing a seatbelt during the crash. The identity of the driver will be released following the notification of next of kin sometime today. |
