| (LS) The grant that is close to $200,000 was received & approved to be used to help pay for salaries of those serving in the adult probation services. The money came from the state Board of Probation & Parole, which is allocated each year to supplement parole officers’ salaries. The state is still finalizing the exact amount of the grant, which could be as little as $180,000 & is determined by the number of parole officers that are employed by the county. The state budget will also have a determining factor in the exact amount of the grant total. |
